As one attempts a fresh start by creating a communal living space for single mothers, the other searches for new ways to connect and build a life in a small town far away from her family. This intimate documentary explores the invisible struggles of single motherhood, revealing the strength and resilience it takes to raise a child when you feel like you're on your own.

Critter Encounters: A Forever Home follows the critical work of a small wildlife sanctuary in Ramona, California. Led by Wildlife Specialist Andrea Burgan and her dedicated Lead Keeper Connor Hoyt, the sanctuary provides a forever home to animals that can't return to the wild because of human interference. Given a second chance at life, the animals become Animal Ambassadors for their species to educate the community about wildlife, coexistence and conservation.
